1、 Introduction to voltage stabilizing tank
surge tankalso calledpressure tank、Expansion tankIt consists of a tank body, a bag type rubber diaphragm, an inflation tube valve, a deflation valve, inlet and outlet pipes, a lifting ring, etc. The fire inspection cabinet, smoke exhaust fan control box/fire fan control box, and fire control cabinet are all important components of the fire protection system.
Pressure stabilizing tanks, pressure tanks, and expansion tanks are used in closed water circulation systems to balance water volume and pressure, avoiding frequent opening of safety valves and automatic water replenishment valves. When pressurized water enters the airbag of the expansion tank, the nitrogen gas sealed inside the tank is compressed. According to Boyle's gas law, the volume of the compressed gas decreases and the pressure increases until the gas pressure in the expansion tank reaches the same level as the water pressure, and the water supply stops. When the pressure of water loss decreases, the gas pressure inside the expansion tank is greater than the pressure of water, and at this time, the gas expansion water is replenished and discharged. Stop draining until the gas pressure and water pressure reach the same level again.
The control of each point of the stabilizing tank, pressure tank, and expansion tank is interlocked and operates automatically, with a small range of pressure fluctuations, safety and reliability, energy saving, and good economic effects.
It should be pointed out that the "Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage" GB50015-2003 (2009 edition) does not specify the starting frequency of water pumps for household variable frequency speed control water supply equipment. Therefore, during periods of low water consumption, the volume of the pressure tank is not selected based on the regulated water volume calculated for 7 hours, 5 hours, or 4 hours; It should be arranged according to local conditions, taking into account various factors such as system flow rate, pump power, and building area.
2、 Working principles of stabilizing tank, pressure tank, and expansion tank
Among the four pressure control points p1, p2, p3, and p4 set in the pressure tank, each pressure point is connected to a control relay. p1 is the minimum working pressure designed for the pressure tank, p2 is the starting pressure of the fire pump, p3 is the starting pressure of the stabilizing pump, and p4 is the stopping pressure of the stabilizing pump. When the pressure inside the tank is p4 and the fire water supply network is in a high pressure state, both the stabilizing pump and the fire water pump are in a stopped state. With the leakage of the network or other reasons causing pressure relief, when the pressure inside the tank drops from p4 to p3, the stabilizing pump will automatically start to replenish water to the pressure tank until the pipeline inside the tank reaches p4, and the stabilizing pump will stop running, thus ensuring the constant storage of fire water in the pressure tank.
If a fire occurs inside a building, with the activation of fire extinguishing equipment, the water volume in the pressure tank decreases and the pressure continues to drop. When it rapidly drops from p4 to p2, an alarm is triggered and a signal is output to the fire control center to automatically start the fire pump to supply water to the fire water supply network. When the fire pump is started, the stabilizing pump automatically stops running, and the fire pressure boosting and stabilizing function is completed.

3、 Application of pressure stabilizing tank, pressure tank, and expansion tank
Pressure stabilizing tanks are widely used in residential, office, scientific research, commercial, hotel, hospital, theater, sports center and other multi story or high-rise civil and public buildings for domestic and fire water supply; The living, production, and fire water supply of residential communities, factories, military facilities, as well as the domestic sewage, production sewage, and fire water supply of single story, multi story, high-rise residential buildings, public buildings, and factories that have been built due to the inability to increase tap water pressure and install roof water tanks, demolition, reconstruction, and expansion. A stable pressure expansion water tank can be used for heating systems, replacing roof expansion water tanks.
4、 Characteristics of stabilizing tank, pressure tank, and expansion tank
Pressure stabilizing tanks can replace building roof water tanks, water towers, and old style pressurized water tanks.
The main characteristics of pressure stabilizing tanks, pressure tanks, and expansion tanks are:
① One inflation can maintain long-term use, and users do not need to set up additional inflation equipment;
② The tank is a closed device that prevents contact between gas and water, ensuring that the water quality is not contaminated by external factors;
③ Small footprint, low investment, fast installation, easy operation, management, and maintenance;
④ Eliminating the need for high-level water tanks for living and firefighting on the roof of buildings is beneficial for structural seismic resistance and building aesthetics;
⑤ It can reduce water volume noise, cavitation, pipeline resistance, and water hammer effects, avoiding the phenomenon of inaccurate measurement due to water meter idling;
⑥ Flexible and adaptable, installation location not limited by height, easy to renovate, expand, and relocate;
⑦ Automatic control is easy to use and reliable in operation;
⑧ Can ensure the water supply pressure required for water points and fire hydrants, ensuring safe and reliable water supply.
